Had a very nice daytour to Sundsvall in a (for me) new car :D, a very comfy car that behaved very well. Yet again a new judge for us, and we had mixed results on my dogs. The breedersgroup she wanted me to explain how my thoughts went, before she declared the group as the BOB winning group! that was a first for me...,

Another lovely miniholiday, this time with my friend Karoline on the beautiful island Åland, with 3 Cockers, 1 Dachsie and a bernese mountain dog. We found a very nice hotel by the harbour in Mariehamn, and the show was as always nice and well organized. The only downside was a nasty parking guard and a judge that kept looking at her clock, and looked more for faults instead of virtues... Well, with nice results you can always look passed things like that :)
On the saturday I only had one Dachsie. Judge this day was the always so nice and polite Patric Ragnarsson.
Vivianne - Ch Manaca's Velvet Cover was best bitch with CAC & CACIB! This meant that she now got 4 new titles, just like that. FINCH, C.I.B, C.I.E and Nordic champion!
Just so perfect timing, as she is hopefully pregnant with her first litter!
On the sunday it was the Cockers Cockrarna, 13 entrys. As we were last in the ring we had time to follow the judging in the ring. And we soon realized that we should be happy just to get an excellent... For ex in Welsh Springer, 18 of them, no one got a CK, which meant that not one dog was placed in best bitch or best male....

An absolutely fantastic showday again, this time also with sun and warmth! And as a change, a very sad Anton got to stay home this time and instead we took Henry who has'nt been out for awhile. And we all did very well...
First out was little Kristin - Manaca's Goes To Show who was BOB puppy again, and then all the way to the top - BIS puppy!!! So now she got qualified to Puppy of the Year next year, Grand hotel, here we come :D

2 x Askersund august 13-14.
What a crappy day saturday became! It started already at the unloading area at the parking of the show, were they instructed you to unload everything from the car and then leave everything there unguarded while you moved the car. I asked them if I could take my things in as I had to go 3 times with all my packing, but NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT! everybody had to follow their rules. So I did as they said and when I got back I tried to get Anton out of his cage and he just screemed of pain! Somehow hi tail had gone stuck in the cage and it looked like it was broken, all flat and bent! I was absolutely furious and tried to find the vet, but could'nt. So I dragged all my things to the ringside, got my tent up and put Anton on a cool-mat while I organized all my stuff. In the meantime I changed to my showskirt as the judging was about to start, but when I got it on the zipper was broke! So back to the jeans again and in with puppy Kristin, who was BOB puppy, and then out again and looked at Antons tail which, amazingly enough started to look alright again, apparently the loss of blood through made it look broken. I'm glad it was'nt bent for a longer time, then the damage could have been so much bigger... the results this day was'nt super, but absolutely ok. After we went to the hotel we booked, which showed to be the junkiest place you could ever imagine. So dirty, worn down, smelled bad and everything was broken...so don't go to Hova hotel & restaurant!Happily our luck turned for sunday and we had a lovely day in all ways :)

Kennelclub Nat & Int. Gotland Dog Show august 6-7
Gotland - one of my favouriteshows, and as I had 3 free entries from our success there last year I really wanted to go... All to the last minute it was uncertain if we could go at all as all my dogsitters was booked otherwise. So as a last thing I put out og FB that I was looking for dogsitters, and HeyHo! One of my puppybuyers let me "borrow" her 2 daughters who came here and did a very good job, huge thanks to Nathalie & Jennifer! This year I entered 4 dogs, 2 bithes in open 2 different days, with hopes for the last CAC for them... AND it succeeded for one of them!!

A really hot day where not even the clouds made it cooler. Queue to the dogshower, and I really missed the ice cream stand that has always been there earlier years... Again a new judge accuintance, who had a bit different way to judge, but was very nice to both dogs and handlers. Once again this breeder was a very proud lady as 1, 2 and 3 in best male line up was Manaca's dogs!

We did really well under the Cocker judge in Visby (see below), but as the entrys had to be done before that show I thought I'd play it safe and bring some other dogs to this show, as I did'nt know which dogs she would like...first I was a bit ennoyed over my decision with facts in hand, but gladly we did well with the dogs we brought to this show also!

Cruft's - 2016, Judge bitches: Elaine Thomas, males: Barbara Critchley
Lovely Cruft's... always an experience... and this time in a whole different way! I have never experensed anything like it on a dogshow... and sadly, it came to put a blurr on my girls excellent results... I had Maggie in veteran, Lena in open, and Madeleine Bäcks Chelsea in yearling and then I was to show Anton in midlimit, and after he was to come back to Sweden with us again :D
It started with my zipper in my skirt breaking when I was in the first round with Maggie! Huge thanks to all who helped me chasing safetypins and stuff. At last we got enough ringclippers? (the pins that holds the number), to hold the zipper for the rest of the day, so now you know they can be used in different ways :D
Maggie - Ch Manaca's Pull No Punches started her veterancarreer in the best way, by winning the class at Cruft's!! Wohoo!!!
Chelsea - Manaca's No Strings Attached was 4:th in a very strong yearling class!
Lena - Ch Manaca's Like It Or Not was 5:th in open class, amongst Englands championbitches! Sooo proud to have all my girls placed in their classes!!!
Also Dolly - Ch Manaca's Paper Doll, with owner Lynda Nicholas, was placed as no 4 in her class!
and then it was time for Anton in mid limit...He went in the class, waited for his turn, got up on th table and while the judge was going through him the ringsteward came up and said they had to stop the judging in the ring as it was time for best bitch in the other ring, and they were'nt allowed to judge during that time. I told them I had a bitch (Maggie) going in the other ring and they told me to go, we will wait for you. We are not allowed to do anything in this ring while best bitch is going on. Oh good I thought, ran out with Anton, fetched Maggie and went in the bitch ring. Maggie was'nt shortlisted so got her out again and got Anton out and went back to the male ring, just to find they were jst placing the class!!!!!!! I walked up to the judge and asked why they did'nt wait as promised, and she puts her hand over mouth and bursts out, oh no, what have I done! Ringsteward comes up and a wild discussion comes up of what to do. Then they decided nothing can be done and they just offered me to go in the next class, which is open class, Englands championclass. Of course I had to take the offer as I wanted Anton shown at Cruft's, even if it was'nt the best for Anton. I did see lots of people looking when we came in the ring and started to look in tha catalogue and trying to find us, and this is the reason they did'nt. Anyway, Anton behaved perfectly and enjoyed his time in the ring, which I was happy for as it was our first time together :)

At Nelson Kennelclub show under judge Rodi Hubenthal Larissa - Ch Manaca's Forever and A Day was best bitch with CAC, and BOB to Folkes - Ch Manaca's Gets Ideas Going's son, Fenway Swedish Edition, and reserve BOB to another son, Ch Fenway Formidable With Folke.
On the next show, Banks Peninsula, a son to Larissa and grandson of Folke, was BOB with CAC, group reserve and Junior Groupwinner! Huge congrats Rhona & Robert! It's so good to see Folkes offspring doing it so well :)

Gundogshow in Kumla January 23. Judge: Caroline Lundqvist (86 entries)
I don't know how many times I've said "never again a show in a freezing riding house", and here I was again... Here they offered a new interesting judge that just had to be tried out. So from now on I'll just say, "I'll think very carefully before I enter to a freezing riding house again"! This judge proved to be a nice aquintance. Nice with the dogs, nicely written critiques, and nice to everyone. Besides that we got good results on our dogs, which makes it all so much more fun.
Henry - Henry - Manaca's Gust of Wind won intermediate and was 2:nd best male with reserve CAC!
Diesel - Ch Manaca's It's In His Kiss won veteranclass and was BOS veteran, Congrats Madde!
I also handled Chaties Harriet-gaspedal who was "5:th" in a huge juniorclass. A few more show and maybe she gets the hang of what it's all about ;)
Diana - Manaca's Finger Lickin' Good was on her first show as an adult, she has only been to one show earlier and that in babyclass. I took her mostly for her to get a merit for her future maternityduties, so was very pleased with her winning intermediate and going "5:th" best bitch with reserve CAC!
So nice to see Freya - Manaca's Leap of Faith out again after her litter, better looking than ever. She was 4:th with CK in a big open class, congrats Magdalena!
